Mark Broughton, CEO
Mark Broughton is the founder and CEO of The Broughton Group, LLC, a company that has distinguished itself as a leading provider of concierge-level care to seniors throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since 2009, Mark has worked in a variety of capacities including managing teams of caregivers, directing operations for multiple senior care agencies, and coordinating with LTC insurance companies and facilities.
Mark is a retired Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® and he earned his HR Generalist Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. Mark holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University (Lexington, VA)
Mark spent more than 25 years in the IT industry before deciding to dedicate the remainder of his career to helping seniors and their families. He reached this important decision in 2009 after working closely with his own family during his dad's 15-year decline with Alzheimer's Disease. This experience allowed Mark to not only understand the challenges that seniors face, but also how important it is for families to get solid advice and the resources they need during their senior loved one's care journey. According to Mark, "Our goal is to provide the highest quality care and services to seniors and their families, and to operate our company in a God-honoring way."

Shalome Martin, Regional Director
From her office in W. Chesterfield, Shalome Martin directs our operations in Richmond & Central Virginia. Shalome is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Advocate, and Lifestyle Coordinator.
Shalome first worked with The Broughton Group in 2018, and for nearly 25 years she has been helping seniors get individualized personal care. She also understands the importance of a healthy diet and regular physical activity as keys to good health, and as a way to help seniors continue enjoying their well-deserved quality of life at home.
Shalome is clear about her calling in life when she says, "My passion, blessing, and great privilege is to help seniors remain independent and enjoy their beautiful home and lifestyle for as long as possible."
Shalome is a breath of fresh air in Richmond because she views senior care holistically - both from the family/senior's perspective as well as from the caregiver's perspective. This unique combination of skills allows her to help you pick a perfect-fit caregiver for your loved one's needs.

John Weeks, Regional Director
From his office in Norfolk, John Weeks directs our operations in Hampton Roads and Williamsburg. Before joining The Broughton Group, John and his family were TBG customers for more than five years. According to John, "I was so impressed with the company that I decided to switch career paths after 23 years managing a successful insurance agency. Now I know what Mark meant when he told me that this will not just be your job -- it will be your mission!"
My father has dealt with the devastating effects of Parkinson's Disease for many years now, so I understand the challenges seniors face and I want to ensure that other families receive the same customer experience my family has received which includes above-and-beyond communication, compassionate care, friendly counsel, easy access to documentation and support, experienced caregivers who feel more like family, and an overall peace of mind regardless of the circumstances.
My mission is to help seniors live independently at home for as long as possible, and to coordinate their care journey with empathy and dependability. My office never closes, so you can reach out to me anytime and I will immediately attend to your needs. That’s how my family has been treated for years, and now I have the privilege of doing the same for you and your family.
